Core Values
Values of the Month:
Each month, students are exposed to a different value that is used as a springboard for discussion during Monday assemblies and in classroom settings. Teachers use the values of the month as a basis of spiritual and social awareness, while Religious Studies instructors use stories of the Prophets to exemplify those values. The spotlight is shone on the following ten values:
- Responsibility - September
- Honesty - October
- Thankfulness - November
- Self-Restraint and Control - December
- Fairness and Justice - January
- Commitment - February
- Generosity - March
- Respect - April
- Kindness and Care - May
- Citizenship - June
Students, who exemplify these values through their behavior or deeds, are recognized as recipients of the Character Award during Monday assemblies and join the School Head each month for lunch as part of the "Lunch Bunch".
