New Horizon seeks students with the potential to benefit from and to succeed in the school’s unique academic and enrichment programs.
We admit students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students of the school.

- Submit the application and the requested documents.
- Experience a half day, followed by a full day visit in the classroom and take an Admissions developmental assessment.
- Meet with the Admissions Director to review the assessment and receive the admissions decision.
- Sign the enrollment contract.

Tuition Adjustment Program
New Horizon offers a Tuition Adjustment Program to help make our values-based education accessible to families across economic backgrounds. If tuition presents a challenge, we encourage you to apply—because every child deserves a strong academic and Islamic foundation.
Need-based aid is available after a student has been accepted. You will be informed of the TA decision by the school CFO. Please note that the Tuition Adjustment process is separate from the admissions application process.
An independent school education is an important investment in your child’s future. Because we know that financing tuition can be challenging, New Horizon Irvine is committed to making education as financially accessible as possible. New Horizon has been offering a Tuition Adjustment Program for its families and has awarded over $2.5M in awards since it opened its doors in 2001. On an annual basis, New Horizon allocates 13-15% of total operational revenue towards the Tuition Adjustment Program.
Tuition Adjustment awards range from 10% to 75% reduction in Annual Tuition and take into consideration multiple factors including household income, number of dependents, debt, and number of students enrolled, as well as special circumstances. The Tuition Adjustment Program covers tuition only, and not application and registration fees. Funds are limited and distributed until fully dispersed. All applications and their contents are strictly confidential and maintained only by the Business Office.
Admissions and the Tuition Adjustment process are separate. Admissions decisions are made independent of eligibility, therefore a student must first apply for admission and be accepted before being considered for the Tuition Adjustment Program. Tuition Adjustment is available for qualified full-time applicants only.
Currently enrolled families should apply for tuition adjustment before the deadline published each year as part of the re-enrollment communications. This deadline is usually in December for the school year beginning the following fall. New families wishing to apply for Tuition Adjustment should do so after their student has been accepted to the School. Tuition Adjustment is not available to families with students enrolled exclusively in the preschool program. In order to apply, follow the link below. Once all application materials have been received, you will be notified that your application packet is complete, and an award decision will be communicated to you in approximately 4-6 weeks. After booking a tour and meeting with admissions, your child will have a classroom experience and age-appropriate assessment. Our team evaluates each applicant on readiness, academics, and fit before finalizing with an admissions decision meeting.
Decisions are typically communicated within two weeks of the assessment and application review.

New Horizon operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, which means all revenue goes back into supporting the school’s mission—through academics, programs, staff development, and facilities. This structure ensures our focus remains on student success and community impact, not profit.
Yes. As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, donations to New Horizon are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. After making a contribution, you’ll receive a donation receipt for your records. Please consult your tax advisor for specific guidance based on your situation.
While New Horizon accepts general donations and Sadaqa, Zakat eligibility depends on the specific intent and use of funds. Please contact our office if you would like to direct your Zakat in accordance with Islamic guidelines and to ensure it is distributed appropriately.
Yes. Donations to New Horizon are considered a form of Sadaqa Jariyah (ongoing charity) when they support educational programs that benefit generations of students. As a nonprofit school, your contribution helps build a legacy of learning and faith.
